Tom Bowes was disappointed not to be mistaken for a member of the Poldark crew when he arrived in Town reported the Wells Journal last week
He knows he doesn’t look like Aidan Turner, the star of the BBC TV hit, but Tom did arrive as a stranger from the South West to a new job in Wells Market Place as filming of the next series began a stone’s throw away.
Back in the real world Tom is a solicitor who has just started as a director of Chubb Bulleid specialising in commercial property and new developments, primarily in Somerset but also Devon and London.
Born and raised in Yorkshire, he and Jennifer have two children under five, Isaac and Ava.
“Jennifer is a big Poldark fan and would love to be here in the office,” said Tom. “We can look down on the filming from the top floor.”
Tom is a keen fan of West Country author Thomas Hardy, enjoys long walks with their black labradors Archie and Ralph at weekends and was a keen cyclist before the children arrived.
“I am looking forward to helping shape the future direction of Chubb Bulleid,” he said, “and I am proud to be working for this successful and highly regarded firm.”
Chubb Bulleid also have offices in Street and Somerton.
