Property Seminar - Property, you and your business - Held at The Bocabar, Red Brick Building, Moorland Enterprise Park, Glastonbury on 9th March 2017

The well attended Seminar was hosted jointly by Old Mill Accountants, Cooper & Tanner, Chubb Bulleid and Barclays Bank and speakers from each organisation were on hand to address the meeting.

Gemma Parsons represented Chubb Bulleid and spoke on the subject of residential property investment with a particular slant on investment properties including buy to let and furnished holiday lets. She also focused on the acquisition of buy to let properties, Stamp Duty , Energy Performance and statutory requirements.

Chris Bowles of Old Mill Accountants detailed tax and investments matters in relation to buying, owning and selling buy to let and furnished holiday lets. Jake Smith of Cooper & Tanner provided a brief update and forecast on residential, commercial and agricultural property markets and Jamie Burke of Barclays explained some of the financial products available from Barclays Bank for the acquisition of residential properties of all kinds, commercial property and also development projects.

The meeting was very lively and enjoyed by all present.
