After obtaining a Law degree at the Universtiy of Birmingham, I trained with a Midlands based firm FBC Manby Bowdler. I then joined a large Bristol based firm and also spent some time working in Reinsurance and International Risk for Clyde and Co in London.

I joined Chubb Bulleid in 2015 after moving back to the South West. I am an experienced litigation solicitor. In my role with Chubb Bulleid, I am able to utilise my experience and expertise in property and commercial litigation, and to deploy a great depth of understanding on behalf of my clients.

The cases I handle include all aspects of property and commercial litigation. I deal with matters concerning rights of way, boundary disputes, restrictive covenants, nuisance, trespass, adverse possession and rights to light. I also deal with disagreements arising from commercial leases and residential tenancies, dilapidations and property defects, lease renewals, service charges and gaining possession. On the commercial side, I deal with purely commercial matters such as contractual disputes and negligent provision of services. I handle some contentious probate cases and deal with the resolution of disputes generally.

I enjoy the challenge of resolving disputes in as quick and cost-effective a manner as possible. Ideally, this will be by negotiation, but if the disagreement has to be concluded through the court system, I am able to pursue formal steps quickly and efficiently so as to achieve the best possible results.

My Favourites.

Favourite season – Probably summer but winter would be a close second. I like the extremes of both; either 30 degrees and full sunshine or freezing cold with a knee-deep snow.

Favourite book – I would have to say Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts – it’s one of the only books I was completely unable to put down!

Beach or countryside – Beach; growing up I spent a lot of time in North Wales; they may not have beaches like the Maldives but for me they will always be special!
