Gemma Everett
CONVEYANCING EXECUTIVE (GCILEX)

I joined Chubb Bulleid in April 2014 whilst training and I’ve worked full time in our Wells office since then. I am now an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

I specialise in residential conveyancing within our property department and enjoy supporting people through what can be a stressful period when buying or selling their home. Having bought a property recently I can really empathise with the emotions that come with moving home and I hope to support my clients through this in any way that I can. Client satisfaction is what does it for me. It’s always rewarding to feel like you have done a good job! I also think it’s important for our client’s to know that they can contact us at any time and we will always do our best to be available to them.

I deal with both freehold and leasehold property, and as well as dealing with property sales and purchases, I am able to complete lease extensions, re-mortgages and a number of other property related matters. I also frequently deal with property auctions, which can be entertaining on a weekday evening – particularly if you live in the sticks like me, where you get a lot of land owners all out to bargain for the same parcel of land! I enjoy the assortment of matters that come through the door and believe that I am efficient in pushing them through.

I live in Nempnett Thrubwell with my partner, Rory, and we are currently renovating a property in Blagdon, which is how we are spending a lot of our free time at the moment.

Summer is without doubt my favourite time of year, and on weekends I love to escape to the coast with friends and a G&T. We have a speedboat and I am always trying to get better at watersports (trying and failing miserably!). Rory is super competitive and very good at it, particularly wakeboarding, so the rivalry is always there…

My Favourites.

What super power would you like – Invisibility for sure. Just think about how often you would have loved to have been a fly on a wall so far in life already!

If you could travel back in time, what period would you go to – Childhood. I’d love to be young and carefree again.

Favourite ice cream flavour – I’m a sorbet kind of person. I’d always go for a mango sorbet.

What would be top of your bucket list – I’d truly love to travel the world someday. I think we all get too wrapped up in our own little bubbles, and don’t respect what a big world we live in and how others live so differently. I’ve been lucky enough to go to a lot of places, but to tick off some more would be an absolute dream.

Favourite Drink – Gin and tonic. My favourite at the moment is Hendricks Gin, with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic, ice and cucumber. Very refreshing!
