Karen Foster
OFFICE MANAGER

I moved to Somerset in 1996 from Warwickshire. I started at the firm when in 1996 as a secretary.  I became a fee earner in the Residential Conveyancing Department in 2003 and I have been in my current role as Office Manager since 2006.

My role is very varied from keeping the offices stocked with coffee and tea etc., to ensuring we operate within the rules and regulations set by the Law Society. Basically, I endeavour to ensure the smooth running of all three offices to enable our staff to provide the best possible service to our Clients.

Away from the office I enjoy walking, reading, gardening and spending time with my family and particularly my granddaughter since my daughter relocated back to Somerset.

My Favourites.

Dogs or Cats: My lovely dog, Romeo who is an absolute delight and good company when out walking. He is so friendly and loves playing with other dogs.  However, since my daughter returned to Somerset I have become acquainted with her two cats fondly known as Fatcat and Boy and for cats they are okay!

Walk v Run: Definitely walk particularly in my favourite destination in the UK which is the northern part of the Lake District. Romeo had his first visit there this year and he will certainly be going back again soon!

Favourite season: I love the spring when you start seeing the new shoots of life coming out after a usually long and wet winter. However, all the seasons have something good to offer, summer with the heat of the sun (hopefully) and long evenings spent in the garden, autumn with its wonderful colours and the bright crisp dry days of winter when you can wrap up and get out into the countryside for a long walk.

Dream car: It has to be my current car – a beautiful Caribbean Aqua Mini Cooper Convertible. I certainly had great use out of the convertible this year with the lovely weather.
