Joanne Turner
ASSOCIATE

Following a previous career in company administration, I qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and have specialised in company and commercial law since that time. I have worked for businesses of all sizes and in all sectors, advising on the full range of company and commercial matters, including:

• Share sales and purchases in a number of sectors, including the nuclear and telecoms industries
• Sales and purchases of care home, hospitality and retail businesses and assets
• Implementing changes to company structures, including complex share issue and transfer arrangements, capital reduction and share buy-back arrangements and bespoke, drafted articles of association and associated shareholder agreements

I particularly enjoy working with small to medium sized businesses, getting to know their owners and understanding their stories. My clients have appreciated my pragmatic, common-sense approach to matters, including my ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.

I have been involved at committee level in a number of networking groups in the Bristol area over a number of years and now look forward to getting to know the local business communities in Somerset.
Outside of work, I am involved in the running of an amateur boxing club and at weekends can often be found officiating at ringside at venues throughout the country. I also enjoy playing the saxophone, cooking and relaxing at home with my husband and two dogs.
