Gail Barry
Chartered Legal Executive & Associate

I have been with Chubb Bulleid for 4 years, having relocated to Somerset from the South East. I started life as a Legal Secretary and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2009 having spent several years fitting in working and studying with a young-ish family.  I felt a huge sense of achievement when I qualified but not something I would like to have to go through again!

Whilst I started off in Property Litigation I ended up as a residential conveyancer in the South East, working firstly for large developers in plot sales and moving over to the other side, acting for overseas investors in their purchases.

I now cover all aspects of residential property work including freehold and leasehold purchases and sales, lease extensions and new build transactions. I am lucky enough to be based in the Wells office and enjoy fabulous views overlooking the Cathedral Green.

My depth of experience means I am able to offer understanding and reassurance to my clients when issues arise and I take pride in the fact that I have a good rapport with clients, other solicitors and local agents which is of great benefit when trying to resolve problems.

I love all aspects of life in Somerset and enjoy spending time with my husband walking and cycling in the Mendips.

My Favourites.

My favourite drink? Just has to be Gin! (although Prosecco comes a close second)

Favourite song? Bohemian Rhapsody all the way.  I would have loved to have met Queen

What super power would you like? The ability to fly.  It would be amazing to be able to fly from place to place!

Favourite car? I have always hankered after a convertible Mercedes although I do love my Landrover Discovery!  I’m just working on getting the horses now ….

First single bought? ACDC Back in Black
