Judith Rouse

I am a solicitor and associate with many years’ experience as a family lawyer. I provide advice on financial settlements and child arrangements on divorce and relationship breakdown whether cohabitation, marriage or civil partnership.  These are difficult circumstances for people and I provide a personal approach to each client providing them with practical as well as legal advice to guide them through the issues arising when a relationship breaks up.

I also advise in relation to prenuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and child law.

As a member of Resolution I abide by their code of practice which encourages co-operation between couples on the breakdown of a relationship. Where a settlement is not possible and a case goes to court I will represent my clients’ best interests in a clear and professional manner.

My working life has been varied. Amongst other things I taught English as a Foreign Language, before qualifying as a solicitor in 1992.  I later worked with children with special behavioral needs before returning to law.  I have also trained as a secondary school teacher and mediator.

My Favourites

Away from the office I enjoy all kinds of music and usually go to at least one festival each year. I have always enjoyed visiting historical and cultural sites and travelling generally. Angkor Temple Complex and Machu Picchu are currently on my list but I am still visiting places closer to home as well. I belong to a book club – but we often forget to discuss the books.
