SENIOR QUALIFIED RESIDENTIAL CONVEYANCING LAWYER

LOCATION: This role can be based at one of our offices in Wells, Street, or Taunton.

PURPOSE: To provide an expert legal service in residential conveyancing, with particular focus on complex matters, including deeds of grant, covenants, easements, assignments, declarations of trust, the creation of residential leases, equity release transactions, and issues arising under the Building Safety Act.

We anticipate 5+ years PQE of managing complex matters.  This is a hybrid role, working 3-days per week on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing all aspects of residential conveyancing, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensuring due diligence is completed across all stages of a residential property transaction.
  • Demonstrating up-to-date practical knowledge of the law in relation to:
    • Sales
    • Purchases and re-mortgages
    • New build properties
    • Right to buy
    • Help to buy
    • Shared ownership
    • Lease extensions
    • Deeds of variation
    • Other schemes as appropriate.
  • Providing clear, accurate legal advice and maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Achieving individual time and billing targets while managing a varied caseload and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Supporting business development to grow both the conveyancing team and the wider firm.
  • Mentoring and supporting the learning and development of junior staff.
