Children in Need 2018 Bake Off Challenge

  • Posted

This year we decided to a hold a Chubb Bulleid Bake Off challenge in support of Children in Need.

It was an absolutely fantastic effort from bakers and cake-eaters alike. And whilst there can only be one winner from each office, the standards were very high and I think it is fair to say that every baker did a brilliant job in showcasing their culinary skills- there certainly wasn’t much cake left by the end of the day!

So without further ado, the results are in and we can reveal the winner from each office as follows:

Wells: Gemma Parsons

Somerton: Aimee Garner

Street: Dawn Everard

Congratulations to our three star bakers! Pictures of some of the wonderful cakes are shown below.

With additional donations for casual wear, Chubb Bulleid raised a truly impressive £519.11! To put into perspective what this money could go towards; £10 can help a child take part in a speech therapy course, £25 can pay for an entertainer to visit a seriously ill child in hospital, and £60 can pay for therapy for a teenager who has experienced abuse. It is a really important cause so thank you to everyone for your donations and contributions on Friday.

Our next charitable occasion will be Christmas Jumper day on Friday 14th December. More information to follow but in the meantime prepare to dust off your most festive sweats in anticipation of the 14th!
