I joined Chubb Bulleid as a residential property solicitor in July 2026, having worked with the firm on a number of previous occasions as a locum.
I have almost 50 years’ experience in the legal profession; initially undertaking a variety of both contentious and non-contentious work (back in the olden days when it was possible to do so!) and have specialised in all areas of residential property work for the last 35 years or thereabouts.
I qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1985 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1994.
I was born in Exeter, where I worked for the first 20 years of my career, moving to Wiltshire in 1996. I am married and have three grown-up children and, at the last count, 5 grandchildren. I maintain strong links with Exeter, having long-standing friends in the city and a continuing obsession with Exeter City; I am a member of the supporters’ trust which holds the controlling ownership of the club.
I have no claims to fame or brushes with celebrity, but my late father did meet Christopher Robin.
My leisure time is largely occupied:
- By my family
- Playing football (of both walking and ‘normal’ varieties)
- Supporting my team (see above)
- Reading (a lot of crime fiction)
- Cooking (mainly of the Hello Fresh/Gusto variety but can also turn my hand to a mean Madras (or, more correctly, Chennai) or Thai curry.
