Katie Goodyer

I am a Trainee CILEX Lawyer working in our commercial property team with 5 years’ experience in dealing with Real Estate matters.

On a day to day basis, I deal with option agreements, infrastructure agreements and promotion agreements, as well as the acquisition and disposal of commercial property. I also have experience in real estate finance, together with auction sales and purchases. My primary caseload focuses on strategic land matters, which I particularly enjoy.

Before working in commercial property, I worked in a new homes team at a Taunton based law firm, acting for a wide range of developers and social housing providers.

Alongside my work, I am studying with CILEX to qualify as a Chartered Lawyer. I have completed both the foundation and advanced stages, obtaining an advanced diploma in law. I am also an ambassador for Ladies of Law, an organisation created to empower women working or studying in the legal sector.

I have lived in Somerset all my life and have no plans to change that as I love the area. I like to stay active and enjoy anything fitness related. In my spare time, I love to curl up with a good book or binge watch a TV series
