I am an experienced licensed conveyancer leading the residential conveyancing department in the firm.  I have been carrying out residential conveyancing for more than 25 years and have a great team around me.

I deal with all aspects of residential property matters for clients both locally and nationally.   I have worked for Chubb Bulleid since June 1990 when I joined the firm shortly out of college to work initially for Richard Cussell and not long after that dealing with my own caseload of residential conveyancing. Soon I will be embarking on my fourth decade with the firm!

I very much enjoy guiding clients through the process of buying, selling and re-mortgaging to successful completion.    I understand that this can sometimes be stressful but do everything possible to provide a friendly and efficient service and as a result most of my work comes to me through repeat business or recommendations from fellow professionals or other clients. My main objective is, of course, to give an excellent service to clients, to keep them up to date and to be proactive – communication is key.

I am Somerset born and bred and grew up on a farm near Somerton.  This has instilled in me a love of the countryside but particularly Somerset.

I have one daughter and four step children, all now grown up. My husband and I  love travelling and seeing the world whenever time allows, there is nothing like it for broadening the mind and learning new things.

I really like to get my bike out at the weekend and do some cycling around the levels.   It is good fun in all weathers and also to see the change of the seasons whilst keeping fit.   For relaxation I enjoy reading all sorts!

My Favourites.

Beach or countryside – If the beach in question is in Abel Tasman in New Zealand – definitely beach please!  Paradise!

If you could travel back in time, what period would you go to?  – No, into the future please so we can see how humankind ends up – scary but more interesting

Favourite book – The Drowned World by J G Ballard – I love his writing, the most perceptive modern writer I have read!  A kind of soothsayer

Favourite film – Mamma Mia for a feel good factor, but at other end of the scale Matrix is amazing – what’s real and are we part of a huge experiment?

Favourite drink – “sav” or sauvignon from Marlborough, New Zealand or maybe a tall G&T on a warm summer evening at home

Favourite sport – I love cycling around the Somerset Levels.  This is specifically because I can go faster and do lots of miles because of the absence of hills!  It is also beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife.
